The First thing you must know when you
want to Learn to Play Caribbean Stud Poker
is that it is a table game, more closely related to Blackjack,
than to Poker. Poker hands are used for scoring. The first
choice in How to Play Caribbean Stud Poker
is how much to bet. Keep in mind there are two betting
stages. The original bet, is placed prior to the dealer
dealing the cards. After the bets are placed, the dealer
deals five cards to yourself and five cards to himself.
The dealer then turns one of his cards face up. Then
you come to a decision whether to place a "call"
bet, or surrender. If you surrender, you lose the
hand and the ante.
If you make the "call" bet, the dealer discloses
his cards and the game carries on. To "qualify"
the dealer must hold at least an A-K, or better. If
the dealer does not qualify, you walk away with the
ante, but your "call" bet is returned.
